Montrose, New York
Montrose is a hamlet next to the hamlet of Verplanck, birthplace of the film The Passion of the Christ directed by Mel Gibson. Montrose was once home to TV spitfire Sally Jessie Raphael. It also has a chinese take-out place called Ting Ho Kitchen and provides a second home for teens of the nearby Hendrick Hudson High School. Near the high school is an elementary school, Frank G. Lindsey Elementary School. There are several different businesses and services here, including a post office, fire department, Dunkin Donuts store, and deli.
